Just a little funny re: naming a new puppy german shepard
Me - I want to name it Bon Bon
Kid - Wants to name it cybersquash

Talking to co-workers ... It get's around to german names, and mean names.

Himmler, Goering, and of course Adolph.

... I get back to my desk and am inspired.

msg co-workers:

Ooo I've decided to go with Adolph, but americanize it. I'm naming it Unitary Executive.

:D

Happy Friday guys!!

5. Actually, "Thor" wouldn't be a bad name for a German Shepherd
It's Scandinavian, not German, but it fits the image of a large, powerful dog.

6. Naming dogs is always such a decision!!
Hitler's German shepard was named 'Blondie'. Doesn't that just figure?
Enjoy the new member of your family.

12. Jake and Joe
I had two german shepherds, brothers, from the same litter, for 12 years. I loved my dogs! Both developed health problems at 11 yrs. One had hip displasia, the other, ruptured bowel glands. I had them put down a year ago. I now have a black lab, a wonderful and intelligent dog, but I sure miss my boys.

14. What I'd name him
Wotan!

There's that great moment near the end of Wagner's Die Walkure when Wotan is coming down from the clouds, bellowing because his three daughters the Walkure have disobeyed him. Some of the greatest angry music there is, almost as good angry music as Metallica's St. Anger.

You did not mention what sex your dog is, that is very important in this decision, especially for the dog's mental health.

With the name, Adolph I am assuming the dog is a male. So with that, here is my suggestion: G. Mann Shepard.

Of course the dog will know his name as "G" or "G Mann" when he is pushing your pissed-off button or G. Mann Shepard when he needs a good chewing (ha, ha, a dog needs a good chewing ha, ha, I just crack myself up, ha! ha!).

Good-luck with the new member of the family.

G-Mann is a good name for a dog because they are sticking their big nose where is does not belong.

edit: stupidity
