If the media wasn't talking about Foley they would be talking about missing blond women and shark attacks. We have been down that road before.

6. You Mean The One From The Right Wing Opportunist?
So, you would rather have a right wing SHILL like Woodie set the SPIN?

What makes you so sure the media would latch onto that story for more than a day. Besides, I still don't trust Woodward, and think he still is on the side of the other side, when push comes to shove.

He likes selling books, and like any repub, making $$$$$$$$, so he is just trying to draw attention and sell books.

7. It wasn't so much the book, but what was in it about Condi.
It only got about 1 day's worth of play. Perhaps that's all it was going to get, but it didn't really get a chance.

14. The great number of missing blond women would have assured...
...that the book wouldn't have received much more that 1 days worth of play anyway is my guess.

The Dems should be using quotes out of it in their TV spots though. They probably will be.

think this is some kind of double secret probation backwards hoodoo guru super batman plot from Karl "I can turn water into wine" Rove.

12. GOP blames DEMS for uncovering the Foley cover-up
just think about it, the GOP it accusing us DEMS and launching an investigation to prove that the leak of this information was Democratic dirty trick.

So when exactly was the GOP leadership going to demand Foley leave? Before or after they urged him to run for re-election?

All together now, the GOP blames DEMS for uncovering their cover-up, this is all a last minute dirty trick by the Democrats.

Again, when was the Republican leadership going to demand Foley's resignation!!!!!!!!!!!!

13. No, this is a DISASTER for the GOP
because the main hold they had on religious nuts was the fiction that they were the sine qua non of piety and morality.

Well, we knew better and now the religious nuts do. Not only was there a hoe-moe-seckshul in their midst, he was picking on boys and the leadership COVERED IT UP for over 10 years!

This is going to hurt them. It is no diversion from anything.

16. It's a GOP-engineered diversion alright.
Whether it works as planned is another question, but I have a feeling we won't know what it's actually supposed to accomplish until after next month's elections.

But they're definitely preparing us for one or more unpleasant surprises.

Usual...without this. He'd have the "Big MO" and we'd be still fighting as the runts with no coverage.

Sex Sells...ask Nancy Grace and MSNBC...:-(
