Republicans waiting for child to be molested before taking action.
Edited on Fri Oct-06-06 11:37 AM by krkaufman
Reading the following passage from today's WPost article on CREW's reporting the Foley emails to the FBI (Watchdog Group Disputes FBI's Claims on E-Mails)...
Justice Department spokesman Brian Roehrkasse declined to comment on that issue but defended the FBI's handling of the original e-mails: "The e-mails ... did not contain a criminal predicate to allow the FBI to move forward in an investigation."
... I'm reminded of Bush's most recent slanderous attacks that Democrats are waiting "until we're attacked again" before acting to protect Americans.

Well, it sounds to me like, in their own words, Bush's Justice Department was waiting for a child to be molested before taking any action to protect the pages from Foley.

1. Good point! Nice way of turing their "argument" back around on them
Your comment and this one from yesterday: "If Osama were a 16-year-old page, the GOP would have found him by now," really brightens my weekend!

Thanks :D

2. OMG, what a great talking point!
Especially after what Hastert says about having known about the emails but not the IMs -- that's exactly what he was saying, he knew there was an "issue" but that it had been dealt with (lol, sure, just "ask" the perp to be good and it's ok).

I wish someone would use that as a campaign point, it's too good to pass up!

3. And Denny Hastert investigating himself illustrates another Rethug motto
"What happens in Congress stays in Congress."

4. bush said the same thing about this he said about Rove - if any laws
were broken.

They will find no laws were broken and work day and night to redirect the issue and blame the kids and the media (and ClintonSorosGore)
