Racial slurs from Republicans bother me, but don't suprise me.
What pisses me off the most, something I really have to vent about - and forgive me for getting in late on this (and for the paraphrasing I'm about to do) - is that at first Allen said "macaca" didn't mean anything, and then he said he had a niece who had a nickname of "Maca Maca" - you know, as if we were all supposed to throw up our hands and say "Oh, well, in that case it's all good."
First of all, let's assume that his niece has that nickname. I'm not sure anyone on the planet does, but let's assume it. It's absolute horseshit, but let's pretend it's true. It's complete and utter laughable drivel which has not an iota of truth to it, but let's assume it's true. :rofl"
Even if it were true, what fucking difference does it make? He first said that the slur didn't mean anything.
Now, let's assume that the "niece" thing is, as I think we all know, unequivocal bullshit (to be honest, I'm leaning in that direction  ). If that's the case, then:
a.) he dragged a child into a media firestorm in order to save his worthless ass, and
b.) he is insulting the living shit out of our intelligence by thinking that such a claim will make a difference to the voting public (insulting the voting public is something that irritates me no end - for example, see my post here:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=2323707&mesg_id=2324238 ).
There's plenty to dislike about this guy - his voting record, his attitudes toward race, etc, but for some reason his lame attempt to get himself out of this shit by dragging his niece (and I'm giving him the benefit of the douby by assuming he even HAS a niece) into it REALLY irks the fuck out of me.
I realize that there are bigger fish to fry here, but the "Maca Maca" thing makes my blood fucking boil. Am I the only one who really got pissed off by this?
End of rant, apologies for my French. Thanks for listening.
