Holiday Tribute/Thank you to Takebackthemedia.com & Symbolman

I just wanted to take a minute to wish Symbolman a Merry Christmas and to thank him and his associates for all that they have done for DU and the nation. Symbolman is Takebackthemedia.com and he has selflessly given of his time in an effort to shine the light of truth on the administration that is destroying our nation. He has been our media when the only media options we had available were the media they controlled, their media and their version of the truth. Before rawstory and bradblog and others, there was Takebackthemedia.

Symbolman and his associates have spent the last two years making films like "Rove's War - the Chronology of Plamegate". He is currently working on a film about Electronic Voting and was the rare camera at the Conyer's hearings. He makes his own animations (animations made for the Electronic Voting film) and he has made dozens of flash animations like the Wishing you a Merry Fitzmas! http://web.takebackthemedia.com/flash/merryfitzmas.swf

Since 2000, Takebackthemedia has made over 50 political attack ads in flash form and made them available on line for free ... for our use in spreading the truth.

Unfortunately being One of them breaks my heart, I wish you the best year YET coming up, with all your loving attitude I'm sure you'll be rewarded by the Universe or whoever runs it :)

And THanks so much for the wonderful things you've said here, we Have tried Hard to educate and it's a LOT of work - I had one of my worst years ever last year, and since we've been off making films we haven't kept the site up the way we wanted to, but thanks to folks who have been around the DU for a while we're still remembered for having a "dog in the fight" for the past 4 years, and it's good to hear..

Sometimes I think of just bagging the whole political thing and shutting down, writing music or a book I have in mind, making a CD of my own music..

BUT with Bush in office we still have three more years at least to battle these monsters, so truthfully any help is very much appreciated, and I can use the inspiration from folks like you and SFX and many others to keep going..

LIke Robert Frost said, "The Woods are snowy, dark and deep - but I have Promises to Keep, and Miles to go before I Sleep.."

I went to takebackthemedia.com and donated tonight. A little Christmas present for myself, I guess.

Anyway, my wish for you and symbolman is a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I know it will be very hard for you after all that you've been through, but I just wanted to send my very best to everyone on the Gulf Coast.

Mr. Wonderful and myself don't have a lot of disposable money right now, but what we could spare we've sent to help you and the rest of your neighbors. Our favorite is Habitat for Humanity.

If there are any more organizations that could use a helping hand, please let me know. The donations won't be that much, maybe $25.00 dollars here and there, but I figure every little bit helps.
