The trip to the schoolhouse in Florida...
Yes, he was pushing his new education agenda - No Child Left Behind. Most trips are planned quite some time ahead. I must admit I do not follow the President's itinerary very closely but I do recall thinking on 9/11: "Why is he going to Florida? This is the day the newspapers are supposed to break the story about how Gore actually won the election in Florida??" Something seemed out of the ordinary to this ordinary citizen. It seemed to me to have been a trip that was planned on a spur of the moment. As if he did not want to be in Washington on that day. As if he knew something was going to happen. I do admit this is in hindsight but that trip was out of the ordinary for this secretly traveling President.

With these latest, recent revelations about Tenet warning Rice and Rice reportedly warning Rumsfeld and Ashcroft, these thoughts come back to me. Did they not tell their President what was happening? I find that difficult to believe. And Tenet told the 9/11 Commission about his and Cofer Black's urgent meeting with Condi Rice to warn her that there was an attack "looming". The 9/11 Commission decided for whatever reasons, political or otherwise, to not make Tenet's information public. They decided to conceal it from the public. If any Democrats objected, they were outvoted, as far as we know.

There is no way to know at this time if they "made it happen". But it is difficult to believe now that they did not "know it was going to happen". They had too many warnings and too much information not to know. By knowing "something" was going to happened, they did not move to stop it from happening. They had NORAD just coincidentally going thru a realistic exercise at that same time? So, in effect, they did "let it happen". Did they "let it happen on purpose"? And why??

1. Thinking back.
Because if al queda succeeded in attacking (whether here or abroad)... the attack gave them an opening to put pnac's plan in full throttle.

Saddam was to start selling oil in euros. Secret energy meetings with big oil, maps of Iraq on the tables. Then they linked Iraq and 911.

Do you remember the timeline between 911 and the Iraq invasion?

It was the damnest scenario. While planning the war, bushco was pushing tax cuts for his haves and have mores.

Who cuts taxes during a war?

Someone who wants to bankrupt the country.

Why? To privatize everything... all social services. To shape his own government.

He hit the trifecta all right.
