This just in from Amnesty International targeting companies that violate

Yahoo!, Dow Chemical, Chevron...these companies often make headlines for their record profits, but here at Amnesty International we recognize them for being among the most egregious examples of companies contributing to human rights abuses.

Holding corporations like these accountable for abuses isn't easy. It requires constant pressure and high profile action if we are to see real results. That's why we've created SHARE POWER - a campaign to help leverage as many pressure points as possible, including your relationship to large shareholders who are invested in these companies.

Check out the SHARE POWER Flash Movie to find out how you are connected and then use your connection to press for change by signing up below. Once you sign up, we'll provide you with all the information you need to get your campaign rolling. No matter how much time you can give you can make a difference!

What level of commitment will you pledge to hold these companies accountable?

Over the coming year, I pledge to raise awareness in my community/at my school about human rights abuses connected to Chevron, Dow, and Yahoo, and collect 25 or more letters, postcards or petition signatures, addressed directly to the leadership of these companies, demanding that they address their human rights responsibilities.
Over the coming year, I pledge to raise awareness in my community/at my school and collect 100 or more letters, postcards or petition signatures addressed to the companies. In addition, I pledge to identify at least one large shareholder of Chevron, Dow, or Yahoo stock that I am connected to, and to use that connection to advocate for human rights.

Thanks for your concern and commitment to helping end corporate abuses.

In solidarity,
Amy O'Meara
