1. I thought I recognized that name from somewhere
http://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2006/Info/all_house_polls.html

Then I remembered. According to the latest, Mr Tiahrt is getting his ass handed to him 56 to 42. If this holds, we could actually make a pickup in Kansas! :bounce:

2. I don't think he will lose
somehow he is smarmy enough to always win

he has the "sympathy vote" this time around cause his son killed himself last year.

3. Tiahrt trailing by 14 in KS - 4? How recent is this poll?
I mean, seriously, I spent a year in Wichita one week, and it was Thumper Central. How in the world could Tiahrt lose that district? THAT many layoffs?

7. I don't think so--Tiahrt is going to win.
That's my old stompin' grounds. I was active in Sedgwick County when Dan Glickman lost his seat to that nutcase Tiahrt. Dan was badly shaken the day before the polls opened when we stood with him at the Cessna plant at shift change and many people walked past him, either totally ignoring him or spewing invectives at him.

Tiahrt is a do-nothing in Congress, but he seems headed for an easy victory.
Do you have information which I don't have?

9. That poll is completely wrong.
Here's the latest SurveyUSA poll on KS-4
SurveyUSA -- 9/18/2006->9/20/2006
63% Tiahrt (R)
30% McGinn (D)
4% Holt (RP)
3% Undecided
MOE +/- 4.5%

I despise that rapture rightist Todd Tiahrt, but he's going to win--easily.
