The Next Level of Bush Staged Events?
Edited on Mon Jan-23-06 03:02 PM by CrackpotAmerica
This Kansas State "Q&A" was so one sided that I must assert that it is obviously staged.

But, worse, it seems that this event was a much more aggressively staged event. The questions, whether in support or supposed "opposition" to the President are conspicuously lacking in spontaneity.

On one occasion, an Iraqi woman was allowed to state an almost deified proclamation of the President's war. Suspiciously, she noted that she has relatives in the new Iraqi Parliament.

Could this be version 2.0 of the Rove-Bush propaganda machine?

Watch carefully this week because the RBPM will be on the offensive to try to reverse the Revelation of Bush's federal crimes..

I propose that they are fully aware that their once thick wall of treachery and protection is crumbling. Thus, the level of play will become much more severe for now.

Just my 2 cents anyway.

What do you think?

On Edit: I was going to use an AP story from CNN, but when I clicked it to post a snip, they removed this story: (forbes had it)

http://www.forbes.com/home/feeds/ap/2006/01/23/ap2467697.html

and replaced it with this:

http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/01/23/bush.ap/index.html

The original article is nowhere to be found (by me anyway) on CNN

1. I think it is beyond strange that they had this campaign ready to go
the OBL tape comes out 4 days ago and by yesterday they were already talking about how W would be on a PR offensive campaign starting....today. You don't think that is strange?

4. Bush v. Osama. Is that the 2004 or the 2008 presidential campaign?
Edited on Mon Jan-23-06 02:42 PM by leveymg
This is getting really stale. The corporate media might just rebel and start asking questions about this BS, just to see if anyone is still paying attention.

3. I dunno
I would think the chimp would be real careful about doing tightly scripted events after all the fallout from his previous staged events, but after seeing that Iraqi woman proclaim her undying, unconditional love of the chimp I'm not so sure. You may be right.

5. Doesn't it suck that you have to look at every last little thing
as if it were a blatant attempt at a con by this Administration?

I have become an ultra-paranoid conspiracy theorist over the past 6 years..

6. I posted about this too.
There is a partial transcript here:

The link now goes to a story about Bush, NSA and wiretapping. What are they doing? How credible is it to just change a story like that?

9. Yes but it doesn't mention Bush being a "talk show host"
or his quote of putting plants in the audience.

11. The story is still at cbs.com
very revealing that CNN has scrubbed it.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/01/23/ap/politics/mainD8FAGCNO2.shtml

<snip>

Bush has taken a wide variety of questions in three other appearances during the last six weeks. Many of the people he has called on have fawned over him, thanking him for his wartime leadership, saying they pray for him and bringing best wishes from other fans in their family who couldn't be there.

"It's always good to have a plant in every audience," Bush joked last week in Sterling, Va., after a woman rose and said she was proud of him.

13. They scrubbed it because of the "audience plant" quote
I'm sure. It doesn't bode very well to say that you put plants in the audience(even if joking) when you are talking about the abuse of NSA wiretaps.

17. and I am sure you have noticed...
every time the chimp jokes about a topic, like ha ha I would never do that, he is actually doing it. The best example is the Dictator quote.

16. You know what? There was a story on Yahoo! this morning:
"Bush to take unscripted audience questions"

I noticed it and remembered because, how sad is that? When the President simply talking to people is FUCKING NEWS?

And, he didn't!

Every time I think it can't get worse, it does.

Edited on Mon Jan-23-06 03:41 PM by FreedomAngel82
It's Kansas and they obviously knew the right school to hold it at. I'd like to see him pull it off at California.

20. What do you mean the next level?
That's all the mother fucker has done for the past six-odd years is fill arenas and town halls with pre-screened, bussed in, yes-men who have signed loyalty oaths to that effect, with already pre-approved and pre-answered questions, while the normal people with legitimate gripes and concerns are herded into "free speech" zones two or three counties away.

Is what he is doing now supposed to be different than that?

"Talk about looking uncomfortable. After many scripted questions, Bush had a few that strayed off the company line."
