2. Wait for the too little, too late garbage to pop-up
Edited on Fri Sep-15-06 01:58 PM by politicasista
Oh, I forgot, that's reserved for special Democrats. :sarcasm:

Glad she isn't putting up with it anymore.

Don't mind me, I am cynical today.

3. Go Mary!
I've never been a huge fan of hers, but she definitely deserves points for this one. I'm glad to hear her speak the truth to the boneheaded Repugs - it needs to be said.

Keep it up, Mary!

5. She's hot.
Even if she does drift to the right sometimes. All the hot-looking politicians are Ds. Evil is never pretty. Hillary Clinton-hot, Pelosi-hot, Kathleen Sebelius (gov. KS)-hot, Boxer-hot, Stephanie Miller-hot, Randi Rhodes-hot, Betty Sutton (OH-13 candidate)-hot

Rice-scarey, Kathleen Harris-trainwreck, Laura Bush-lobotomy patient, Coulter-walking violation of the laws of nature

14. So it was your intent to ascertain if I knew how stupid I sounded...
...NOT to make sure I knew that I sounded stupid. Actually, text does not sound like anything.

I suppose next you will tell me that "hotness" is irrelevant to political matters. My mother said Al Gore looks like Superman in a dreamy tone of voice. An old woman told me that Bill Clinton curls her toes. (She meant he was attractive.) On the other hand, the aforementioned Katherine Harris looks bad reinforcing the impression that she does not have her act together. If Nixon looked like JFK and vice versa, do you think there would ever have been a Kennedy administration?

Appearance and general impressions of people including leaders are important. Humans are not robots for processing data. We are emotional creatures and these things matter. So go pound salt.

15. That's the spirit...
for we are all just a collection of body parts assembled for your entertainment.

...and when we're all looking upon the ashes of what once was a great nation and ask ourselves "what the hell happened?" I hope you remember this "theory". This nation that would never elect another Abraham Lincoln because he lacked a telegenic countenance, nor would they ever have elected FDR because he was "a cripple" had they only known, that will elect a barely functional illiterate simpleton because "he looks like a guy I could have a beer with", that regularly makes decisions based on nothing more substantial than "that chick has a nice rack".

On behalf of your Grand-children, thanks for taking my future so seriously.

Your degradation of women is patently offensive.

16. "...just a collection of body parts..." I did not say that.
Edited on Sat Sep-16-06 09:38 AM by Deep13
You are reading WAY to much into my comment. I frankly find your puritanical judgment to be offensive. Anyway, your feeling of offense is your problem, not mine. Collection of body parts? Are you Frankenstein? I find the whole person "hot." That includes physical apearance and personality. I always thought Condi Rice was attractive until I found out what a monster she is.

I support D. women candidates with time and cash and a lot of it, so I don't need a lecture from you. I used to think as you do. I thought having any reaction to physical appearance was somehow bigoted. I have since learned to be more accepting of myself and others. I am not going to apologize for being a man and seeing things the way men see things. The fact that I find women attractive does not mean that I don't respect them as people and as professionals. Perhaps that is not ideal, but it is a fact. Reality always trumps ideology.

I also enjoy firearms, war movies and red meat.

Go jump in the lake.

8. She realizes that Democrats better take the lead before.....
the Repugs define them as terrorist loving tree huggers. If any Democrat doesn't fight back and fight like hell, we stand a good chance of losing instead of winning. Lets define the Repugs before they define us.

17. Yet she still keeps voting with the GOP
She doesn't stand up to them consistently, so they just ignore whatever she says. She's one of the few Dems left in Congress who is naive enough to think she can negotiate with them, I suppose.

Unless she holds the line against them, they're likely to keep doing the same thing. She's either not very bright or not highly motivated.

She represents a socially conservative state where oil is king. She cannot just ignore that.
