The Right-Wing Went Ape-Shit over Hilary’s $100,000 return on 10 Cattle Op

Wonder why they don’t feel the same about Dickey’s 3000 % return.

Vice President Dick Cheney’s stock options in Halliburton rose from $241,498 in 2004 to over $8 million in 2005, an increase of more than 3,000 percent, as Halliburton continues to rake in billions of dollars from no-bid/no-audit government contracts.

1. My neighbor asked me this morning if Hillary is a lesbian.
Idiot. Total idiot.

I said, "The Republicans thank you for asking that question."

2. The Clintons paid back taxes even though the statute of limitations passed
And they did so voluntarily in 1993, not having been caught by the IRS. The found it themselves, and paid it, plus interest and penalties, long after the statute had passed.

4. My letter to the NYTimes
During the 1990s, the NYTimes (and other papers) were rife with stories of how First Lady Hillary Clinton, when she was First Lady of Arkansas, used her "connections" to make $100,000 from a $1,000 investment in cattle futures.

Our own Vice President, though, has seen a staggering 3000% increase on an initial $241,498 of Halliburton stock since taking office (an over $8 million profit) and we hear nothing, absolutely nothing, from the Times.

Add to that Vice President Cheney's own quote in 2000, “Since I left Halliburton to become George Bush’s vice president, I’ve severed all my ties with the company, gotten rid of all my financial interest…”, and we have the makings of a very interesting, present day story about real connections and a possible Abuse of Power. A story the American People would have an interest in and deserve to know about.

Gallons of ink over $1,000 becoming $100,000 before moving to the White House compared to the suffocating silence over $241,498 becoming $8 million while in a position to hand out no-bid contracts to a company one is still associated with financially for work in an ongoing war.

And you wonder why people sincerely doubt the objectivity of your reporting?

5. I'm really hating myself right now ...
... as I find myself defending Cheney. Not re the increase in value, but the fact that all of the after tax profit from his Halliburton charities goes to charity. Now pardon me while I go lose my lunch.

7. Don't know what that means sport
But you can pull your head out anytime and look it up yourself. If that doesn't intrude upon your view of the world too much.
