Mustn't be too harsh the great NSA. After all, they're Protecting Our Freedom(TM).

2. Interesting that they brought up that it is ILLEGAL for the Feds to do
this, as opposed to private companies. They can't use persistent cookies that store themselves on your hard drive. Wonder if this opens them up to lawsuits?

4. If you're not hiding anything, you shouldn't be afraid of crumbs?

5. That's okay. The idiots who support the illegal wire-tapping
in the name of making them feel safer from "terrists" probably think those cookies are either chocolate chip or peanut butter.

6. yeah, and after they got done with the hype about tracking your net use
they said that the cookies "track" activities only on the NSA site itself. As the cookies on this site do.

CNN scares people with NSA cookies but the whole deal about NSA scooping up internet and phone communications at the pipeline (which really allows them to track activities if they want), eh not so much. On that issue CNN reverts to the Dems vs Repub thing making it look like just a political wrangle rather than an unconstitutional abuse of power. The Bush Administration claims that it is not bound by the law and Constitution and has extralegal powers never granted to it, but by all means CNN, lets talk about "the threat to privacy" by NSA cookies. Bah.

7. Almost every site puts cookies on your computer.
Why is this an issue. I get the feeling they are trying to take this issue to an absurd extreme to devalue the real monitoring issue.

8. It's an issue because it's illegal for the government to do it... n/t
