1. Make their current and former executives give up their pensions, too.

4. Yet another round fired at workers in the class war...
It's getting messier and messier out there. I wonder when the workers are going to decide to fight back.

Oh, and here's a shout out to those "Reagan Democrats" who stabbed us all in the back 25 years ago: Hope you're happy with what you helped to create.

6. Eat the rich!
You know, it shouldn't be this way. Pensions represent delayed compensation. Workers are paid for their labor. Capital is paid for its risk. When things go right, the capitalist makes out like a bandit; when things go wrong, they should bear the cost, not the worker who did not participate in the upside except in the exchange of labor for compensation and benefits, which includes (in Delta's case) the explicit future stream of cash from a defined benefit pension plan. Current assets should be liquidated to pay the pensioneer first, the creditor second, and other account payables thereafter. They should NOT be able to simply "cancel" a pension plan.

If this continues, I say EAT THE RICH!

7. Lemmy says:
"Come on baby, eat the rich,
Put the bite on the son of a bitch,
Don't mess around, don't give me no switch,
C'mon baby eat the rich
C'mon baby eat the rich"

10. I won't be flying delta--suicidal pilots anyone?
no thanks. What if one of them did not save, thinking that they would be covered by their pensions? What s/he decides to 'end it all' with 250 people on board?

12. Excellent point
you really want to treat workers responsible for keeping planes in the air a little better.

11. I don't understand- does that mean people who've worked all their
lives suddenly don't have a pension to rely on?
