Kirsten Powers appreciation thread

talking about the masterful smackdown to Coulter she performed on Slimeball and Colmes last night. But I've seen too many people refer to her in generic terms, or call her "that blonde girl who filled in for Colmes" etc.

So I thought it might be nice to give her some personal credit. She's got her own Blog http://www.powers-point.com/

So check her out. Send her an email. And give her our thanks for that performance.

Note: She is a centrist and probably not universally beloved here at DU (I certainly don't agree with her on a number of issues including her views of people like myself on the net) but I think she gave us THE solution to Coulter. Simple stop talking to her and deprive her of the attention she so desperately craves. And for that Kirsten really does merit our kudos!

Between Kirsten and Adam Corolla (who just hung up on Ann) we see that the most effective response to the Horsefacedone is to just shut her right down. Stop feeding her ego fire and watch her fold like a limp noodle.

Now if other progressive hosts will follow suit we'll quickly send the shark jumping Coulter packing off into the distant and distasteful corner of our cultural memory where she and her ilk belong.

3. Well, she sure put herself on the map with her perfomance.

The best part was the contrast in how smooth and professional Coulter's Democratic counterpart was. He knew how to deal with a pushy interviewer... don't get rattled, move ahead steadily, make your points, and stay light on your feet.

Coulter came off looking like a pampered deb. Like the kind of princess celebrity who can't even pinch a loaf without having a midwife to coach her thru it.
