Poll question: Do You Support Impeachment Of George W. Bush?
The Constitution offerers impeachment as a means to remove miscreants from office.

Many have suggested that George W. Bush should be impeached, others have suggested that impeachment would some how be bad for the country.

What do you think?

5. I support oversight and investigation
And if the investigations turn up cause to impeach him (which we know they will if they are done honestly), then they can impeach the bastard. To impeach without investigation would be just as wrong as all of the things that *co has done in the past 6 years.

6. A crime is a crime, it doesn't matter who did it.
And they must be held accountable for their actions. We cannot make exceptions because it will disrupt things, or create more problems. American is a land of laws, and they must be obeyed and respected by all. If Bush and his cronies have broken the law, violated the Constitution, violated their oath of office, or anything else, they must be taken to task over it.

Anything less is a mockery of our laws and total disrespect for the brave and wise men who founded our country. We could sure use a few people like them today.

9. Cheney must go, too. It might be more important to get him the hell out of
the White House, than the pretzelnut. Actually the whole White House and a good portion of the Pentagon needs to be cleared, cleaned, and disinfected.

As the VP of a failed, criminal administration, it very well may be he'd be a toothless tiger. All the attitude and bluster in the world wouldn't help him.

Just a thought.

25. I'd prefer to see a real focus
on meaningful change in our government - followed by an effort to bring the whole cadre of crooks to justice.

I can think of nothing much worse than an impeachment effort that serves to mobilize the right wing kooks for the next election while simulataneously distracting Dems from selling their vision.

26. I prefer not to waste my time
on useless grandstanding. If we take back the House in November, a simple majority would be enough to impeach (indict) the Shrub. But in order to convict him in the Senate, we'd need a two-thirds majority. That ain't happening this year. In fact, presuming that no Repuke would vote to convict the Liar-in-Chief, it's mathematically impossible.

28. Absolutely NOT; we need to focus on winning back the House.....
and Senate FIRST, THEN the White House SECOND. If the Democrats control Congress, then bush is essentially neutralized for the rest of his term. Impeachment of bush would lead to his replacement by cheney and I believe cheney would actually be worse for our country than bush, if that is possible. Democrats need to start using their heads FIRST and our hearts SECOND, at least until we have eradicated the scourge from within the beltway.

32. We Can't Impeach Until We Take The House - So You're Right and Wrong
You're right, we need to take the Congress before we take the Presidency, but its implied we will at least control the House of Representatives, because without that we could not impeach the bastard.

Now -- it may not be the most politically savvy move at any particular time, but in principle, what offense is more impeachable than lying to America to get support for a war?

35. I don't think of it as a tool to remove him from office,
I think of it as a way of making amends to the international community for the damage he has done to it, and signalling our intention to never again raise up such a "leader."
