assuming we reclaim the house/senate.. in '06, we'll have less than 2 years to make sure that the NeoNazi's don't try this again.

- undo the damage to medicare/medicade/other programs
- undo the hamstringing done the the agencies that protect the environment, the safety of the people
- start a 'manhattan project' for alternate energy, starting with power sources for OTHER THAT AUTOMOBILES (that's the first frigging thing people talk about.. what about some hydrogen powercells for HOME POWER?)
- restructure the tax system so top 2% have to know what it feels like.

and most important of all..

GET IT INTO LAW. NO BLACK BOX VOTING. PERIOD.

that means we have to take back a LOT of state legislatures as well.

If we don't get that last one done, you know we'll never manage to win in '08. They will be out with every filthy trick to hack '08 even more.

We need to do more than take back the house/senate.. we need a VETO PROOF house/senate. That way who cares if the little crap is impeached, he'll be worse than powerless. Hell, how about just 2 years of HEARINGS and INVESTIGATIONS of EVERY DAMN ONE OF THEM.. taint the 'Republican' label for 50 years...

People think that if the dems take back the house and/or the senate in 2006, and we manage to successfully impeach George Bush and Dick Cheney, it's not going to be the end of it. None of what these assholes have done in the last 25 years, let alone the last 5, can be reversed just like that overnight. It'll take at least an entire presidential administration to get this country back on the right track.

under current conditions, the chances of that happening are zero and none . . . as long as BushCo owns the voting machines and BushCo corporations tabulate the votes, there is NO WAY these people will ALLOW the Democrats to take either the House or the Senate . . . they absolutely NEED to stay in power (to avoid prosecution, among other things), and a Democratic Congress (either house) would consitute a direct and imminent threat to that objective . . .

unless and until the Democrats, in unison, stand up and say "The last three elections were stolen, and here's the proof" -- and then forces real and immediate election reform through the Congress, the Democrats will never win another major election -- either for control of Congress, or for the presidency . . . and anyone who believes otherwise hasn't been paying sufficient attention . . .
