Armor of God PJs for kids?
http://www.armorofgodpjs.com/

As was stated at http://time.blogs.com/daily_dish/

Wouldn't Batman PJs have a similar impact, without the Christianist* "please beat me up" overtones?

2. Those are both lame AND creepy ...

Other than Todd and Rod, I can't think of any kid who'd actually want to sleep in those.

<quote>
At that moment God gave me the idea how wonderful it would be if all the children could have the opportunity to put on a pair of pajamas that symbolized the armor of God,,,,,,

They need to airlift massive quantities of these to Lebanon, Iraq and Israel.

14. Hee! Oh! I love the part...
where it says "As they dress in the mornings, they should replace them with the spiritual Armor of God to protect them in their daily activities."

Because yeah, if you wore those to school? Your ass would be kicked. Good thing they TOLD you to take your jammies off and get dressed in the morning.

5. I love the fluffy, pillowy shield!
Right up there with the Star Wars rebels trying to protect themselves from Stormtrooper fire with polyester vests!

Jeez, even the cheap Crusader Warrior Outfit I got (I just wanted the "Brunhilda" horned hat, but had to but the whole thing) had a plastic shield.

12. Maybe like me
I got into stuff like that as a kid. Read my Bible every night, prayed, went to Sunday school, was president of my regional youth group, was convinced that I was so evil that a demon would possess me at any moment, memorized Bible verses that my preacher didn't even know, shopped at Christian book stores... I'm not even a believer anymore.

I've come to the conclusion that religion doesn't make anyone one thing or another. People are whatever way they are, and religion just gets used to justify it. Some of these kids will grow up nuttie, some normal, some inspiring. It won't be because of their PJs, in any case. Just MHO.

15. My guess..
They'll be serious drug addicts or alcoholics by senior year of high school.

I've seen it happen many times. The worst drug addicts I've known have come from deeply religious families.

16. I saw this earlier today
Do kids even wear pajamas anymore? I remember wearing feety pajamas up until I was 4 and then just underwear and a t-shirt after that.

19. I'm only mildly ashamed to say that those things
would put my six-year-old son into hysterics. He has picked up on the family agnosticism and regularly tells us all solemnly, "I love Jesus. Jesus is my life," and then bursts into crazy laughter. We don't encourage this BTW. But we'd never hear the end of it if he had to go "seepytime" in the armor of god.
