2. Excellent dude!
"August 19, 2006
In Virginia, Webb Pulls Close
Sen. George Allen’s (R-VA) recent controversial reference to an Indian-American man as a “macaca” appears to have hurt him in the polls, according to a new Rasmussen Reports survey. Despite leading by challenger Jim Webb (D) by 11 points in July, Allen now only beats Webb 47% to 42%."

Karma's a bitch!

3. Another potential scandal for Allen (SEC is investigating)
American Prospect Online has this long article describing Allen's neglect or whatever while on the board of Xybernaut Corp and also representing them as their lawyer. This was what he did the two years he was running for the Senate.

6. God,...Let's Hope So.....
----As a Virginian, this race means a lot to me. That Allen could win reelection is distasteful and puzzling enough; ..that he could be contemplating a presidential run is incredible. Webb's credentials ought to be the sort that Virginians take to readily enough,.... I think the "redskins factor" affords Allen a couple of percent that he would not otherwise have. And as news junkie, I can't say that I hear that much about Webb,... so there may be some inept campaign efforts hurting him, as well.
-----But Allen? OMG,... the guy is a 19th century barbarian,...

9. Hopefully the Webb campaigning will be more visible
after Labor Day - this is great news obviously Webb's numbers are going in the right direction. Since I use to live in VA and got to vote against Allen twice - I'm rooting for Webb big time. I never could stand George Allen and until this week I really didn't know he had such a record of racism - now I can't stand him twice as much -

And as I've said in any number of posts THERE IS NO WAY GEORGE ALLEN DIDN'T KNOW WHAT MACACA MEANT - what a disgusting pig

11. People should show up at EVERY Allen event and rally
With banners, signs, and t-shirts that say

"Go back to where you came from, you Maccaca Sucker"!

10. "redskins factor"
Allen will take full advantage of every Redskins victory this season. He will be right there for the photo-ops, and it will work to his advantage. Usually I root for the Skins-not this year.

13. I think Northern Virginia might tip the scale for Webb...
if there is a heavy turn-out. Increasingly we are showing our political muscle in this state.
