Freeper-killing arguement from Wexler: "It cant happen to me"
(regarding the DOD infiltrating the Quakers meetings in Florida)

Wexler: Who was sitting in that Quaker church in Palm Beach County?

Hersh: There was me, there was a 79 yo grandmother, an Asian American housewife, a native American and student, a nurse, a retired pharmacist, a web designer, a marketing person, a businessman, a real estate agent, other Quakers. None of us had traveled outside the country. None of us had to my knowledge made any phone calls outside the country. We were just interested in getting at some truth and educating our children so that they could make informed decisions.

Wexler: The Truth Group had a different philosophy from the president of the US. It has nothing to do with Iraq, Afghanistan or any terrorist activity. If what the pres was doing was entirely legal, than why didn't he just go thru the process in the first place. He chose a different path, without any legal means whatsoever to spy on you.

Hersh: We were a threat because we think differently than the president does.

=======================================================================================================

For every freeper that says "If you aren't guily you wont be tapped" or "If you aren't guilty you should have nothing to hide", shove this down their throat until they choke.

BUSH LIED. He *IS* tapping people UNCONNECTED TO AL-QUEDA which is 100% OPPOSITE of what Bush said.

1. A point well driven home!
Gawd...everybody needs to watch that hearing. We, my friends, are in a world of deep deep doo-doo!

2. That Was the Most Chilling Part...
...of the entire hearing. I was almost in tears. These people only pose a threat to the Bush Administration themselves, not anyone else. That is not a good enough reason to spy on someone. You can't go after people just because they are critics of your administration. This has to stop. This is not democracy at all.
