Too bad, Tucson once again bows to DLC candidates
So Gabrielle Giffords has won every major endorsment even the Tucson Weekly much to my surprise. Sure she'll get my vote against any repuke, but I just think it's a sad day when a true anti-war candidate like Latas comes forward and has the nerve to say what we all feel AND be able to back it up. He completely trounced the other candidates in debate, yet this regressive sad little town still feels the need to baa with the other sheep and pick a "moderate" democrat.

I keep telling myself on a couple more years or so if this bullshit and I will be gone from this desert hell of religious freaks and Republican lites who call themselves Democrats.

1. I know how you feel. Oklahoma has a lot of Democrats who are more
Repug Lite than anything else. It's disgusting. Someday, we'll get someone with a spine who won't accept the status quo. Until then, Oklahoma will be in last place of all the states for almost everything. Regressive is good, eh? :puke:

2. What we need is a purge to get rid of all the wrong thinking people
I mean how dare people who think differently than you consider themselves Democrats! We need our own night of long knives to divide the real Democrats from the phonies.

3. Don't even pull that stupid shit with me buddy
Disagreement is one thing. I disagree on MANY issues with Democrats whom I also highly respect. This is a matter of Democrats who bow to Republican pressure when it comes to the notion of "staying the course" not just when it comes to matters of war but also on local issues such as immigration and economy. The fact that an honorable man with far more integrity and guts is ignored and passed over for just another cardboard politician is exactly why we will never make any progress.

Did you say anything as stupid as what you just responded to me with when Lieberman lost by any chance? I mean cause after all we shouldn't be disagreeing with much less looking to purge our beloved party of anybody who cozies up to what we're trying to fight right?

4. No I didn't
I supported lamont over lieberman - not sure I see that that's the same thing.

When you use Moderate as a dirty word, I don't necessarily assume you mean just lieberman.
