Sunday, Aug. 6
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Lanny Davis and Jim Dean

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will join us on this Sunday's
"Meet the Press with Tim Russert" to talk about the latest diplomatic
efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East,
the state of the war in Iraq, and the possibility of a transition in Cuba.

Then, we turn to the hottest Senate primary race in the country:
Joe Lieberman vs. Ned Lamont.

Will Lieberman, the one-time Democratic vice presidential nominee,
be beaten in Connecticut's primary election on Tuesday?

What will the results of the race mean for the Democratic Party
and the politics of the War in Iraq?

Lieberman supporter Lanny Davis, author of
"Scandal: How 'Gotcha' Politics Is Destroying America,"

and

Lamont supporter Jim Dean, Chair of Democracy for America,

will square off.

All coming up on this Sunday's edition of "Meet the Press."
