2. Maybe he is....wouldn't that be cool?

I don't have a problem with Christians or people wanting to be Christians. I have a problem with people who want to push their beliefs on me from a place of fear, Christians or otherwise.

Regardless, I have a lot of respect for Alice Cooper. He shocked his way into early retirement. He was smart enought to save his money, invest, and used the media and his publicity to succeed. Unlike many rock n roll stars, he played smart, chose well, and lived to celebrate his achievement with a good round of golf.

3. he's also a big Republican supporter in his home town of Scottsdale AZ
I loved AC as a teen and his show was the highlight of the concert season every year, but I don't like his politics today at all :evilfrown:

6. Alice Cooper's father-in-law was pastor of our church 25 years ago or so.
We heard back then he was a pretty boring, middle-america type who was putting on an act.

7. alice cooper
WAS an act, and nobody in the know ever doubted it

it was great rock theater

i think a lot of people assume that, because of the stage persona, there's no way he could be a repub or a conservative

8. Exactly!
he rocked and shocked his way to early retirement! I say good for him. As far as his political beliefs...oh well. We can't win them all over as much as we would like.
