What Scares Repubs? "True" conservatives staying home election day
If there is one thing Karl Rove knows, Repubs can "fix" any problem that arises at the polls except one -- "true" conservative voters who are registered voting republicans STAYING HOME ON ELECTION DAY.

If the Repubs do not "turn out their party voters" there is nothing for them to work with. It is hard to suppress a like amount of Democratic voters to make up the difference. It is hard to find more democratic voters to purge from the voting rolls, and poll watchers don't have to be a genius to notice vote totals exceeding the total number of people who voted.

I would watch for Republican attempts to recast themselves as "true conservatives" to revive these voters who are likely to stay at home on election day. However, there is now enough evidence out there to prove they are merely wearing the label while continuing to destroy this country in so many ways that "true conservatives" find repugnant.

1. you're right
I know my conman has gotten everyone mad because of the way vets have been treated and the talk of everyone losing SS via privatization (no one is foolish enough to think it is a good idea once they are educated about it).

2. The truth is you cannot believe anything this Admin says .....
... they depend upon being able to deceive the public with clever phrases and not much substance.

The Clear Skies Act to usher in "voluntary" pollution control.
The "death tax" to make it sound like it applies to everybody who dies, when in fact it affects only the the wealthiest 1%.

Yeah, I believe them when they say they support the troops. Just go talk to those who cannot get medical care after being ejected from the military after they are injured. And don't forget that they not only would not provide armor to the troops, but cancelled life insurance if the soldiers purchased their own. And last but not least, the deceptive practice of "holding over" soldiers due to return to the US.

You can be sure the opposite is true of everything they say.

3. It's funny - watching Mike DeWine trying to cast himself as independent
of the Bush doctrine ... after voting in the high 90 percentile for whatever crap comes out of Bush's ass ... tries to paint himself as "willing to take a stand" ... on issues where he knows the vote is doomed ...

6. John Dean lays out in his book the diff b/t true conserv and Bush bunch
There is a big difference between those who have historically followed the Goldwater model of conservatism and the present Bush Neocon Administration.

All repubs are not alike ideologically, and that is why many will not vote for Bush even though they cannot bring themselves to vote for a Democrat.

5. I hope lots of those "true" conservatives are gonna vote Democratic
this time. Ousting this mistake of a president and his cronies is a bipartisan survival issue at this point.
