I have a few questions about DU.....

I am not someone who surfs Democraticunderground on a daily basis, mainly because I am to busy working and studying and haven't the time to read all the threads I would like too (they can get very long many times). I therefore have a number of questions I thought some of you could answer.

Is DU often mentioned on liberal news outlets like Air America? I remember hearing it once or twice, but I dont listen to Air America enough to have a really good idea (if I kept up with every blog or news program out there I wouldn't have time to eat or sleep.) How often is DU quoted? Has anything notable from DU been mentioned recently?

What is the average age of most DUer's out there? Under 30, over 30? Would you describe yourselves as having followed politics for a long time? Or are you a relative newcomer to the political process (interest triggered perhaps by a recent event like 9/11 or the stolen election of 2000?)?

I have no idea what the average age here. I would guess it's mid-thirties, but it's a wide spread.

but how often do bigger outlets like Air America check in for a tidbit of info (and then quote on air).... or a general pulse of a certain topic.

I'm 50 and wasn't really into politics until the 2000 election theft. Now, you could say I'm just a tad "obsessed" with getting these thugs out of office.

I'm 37 , I think DU is pretty mixed age wise.

I read books by Zinn and Chomsky but didn't do anything other than vote
