Anyone else see and hear it?
CBS talking about our need to stay due to Iraq's lack of law enforcement and the fact that some neighborhoods are organizing militias to provide safety for themselves, complete with footage showing said militia standing next to a large picture of what appears to be a religious leader that is a lot like what we saw when the Ayatollah took over Iran. Why do I think they were lying to us?

1. Because that's what they do. They spout the neocon propaganda
like good little minions do.

CBS is just like any other MSM source. They are a corporation. Corporation's have it made under this bunch of criminals. Therefore, they see it as being in THEIR best interest to lie to the American public.

2. A big reason they spout the neo-con party line...
Is because of the quality and ideological bent of the news producers. Largely, the news readers and dim, malleable and mindless drones under the producers' thrall, simply allowed to think that they have some independance.

There are exceptions, of course.

3. I wonder if arms for all these 'policemen' in Iraq will not do this
bite us in the rear. It seems to me to count on people you do not understand, can not talk to and know nothing about their society to arm to the teeth is not very smart. And on top of that our fearless leader things 'faith' will make every thing as he wants. It seems like madness to me.

4. First they said we can't leave until the Iraqis can take charge

of their security. And now they are saying we can't leave because the Iraqis are organizing to provide security for themselves.

So what is the real reason?
