It's similar to the "political compass" one, but a little different. (Political Compass had me more in the libertarian-socialist area.)

My results:

Your Score

You scored the following on the PoliticsMatch questions:

Personal Score 94%
Economic Score 20%

Where You Fit In

Where your Personal score meets your Economic score on the grid below is your political philosophy. Based on the above score, you are a Hard-Core Liberal.

5. I scored roughly the same as I did on a similar quiz posted...
the other night...

You scored the following on the PoliticsMatch questions:

Personal Score 60%
Economic Score 38%

Where You Fit In

Where your Personal score meets your Economic score on the grid below is your political philosophy. Based on the above score, you are a Moderate Liberal .

I am not going to bother putting up the pic of the grid, but from the "e" in moderate, if you take the corner of that square under the "e" my dot is on the opposite corner of that square, toward liberal.

9. strange thing is...
I usually feel like a moderate compared to many of the discussions on DU, but on these quizzes I usually get a more extreme liberal score than most people.

HOWEVER

Two questions are scored incorrectly in their version.
On the quiz, I opposed school vouchers, but it said I supported them;
AND it said I opposed federal funding for health care, but I input the correct keys. So something is screwed up someplace.

59% 14% - populist leaning liberal.

Funny that the Presidential Candidate that I agreed most with was the accursed Ralph Nader, and agreed least with George W. Bush.

Where You Fit In

Where your Personal score meets your Economic score on the grid below is your political philosophy. Based on the above score, you are a Hard-Core Liberal.

Personal Score

This measures how much you believe government should intervene in people's personal lives. Personal issues include health, love, recreation, prayer and other activities that are not measured in dollars.

A high score (above 60%) means you believe in tolerance for different people and lifestyles.

A low score (below 40%) means you believe that your standards of morality & safety should be enforced by government.

Economic Score

This measures how much you believe government should intervene in people's economic lives. Economic issues include retirement funding, budget allocations, and taxes.

A high score (above 60%) means you believe in personal responsibility for your financial matters, and that free-market competition is better for people than central planning by the government.

A low score (below 40%) means you believe that a good society is best achieved by the government redistributing wealth. You believe that government's purpose is to decide which programs are good for society, and how much should be spent on each program.

29. Sometimes Hard-Core Populist-Leaning Liberal
I can see that I would tend to exist over a range... So I took the test twice, giving generally the two opposing extremes and found that sometimes I'm a "Populist-Leaning Liberal" and sometimes I'm a "Hard-Core Liberal".

Actually, it would probably be more precise to say that most of the time I'm somewhere in between the two. Then again, I think I spend more of the time near the "Populist-Leaning Liberal" end of the continuum. Still, every now and again, there are times when I'm feeling a bit more than determined to give all sides a more than fair hearing--which, oddly enough, makes me "hard-core" (seems surprising that the results from choosing less extreme positions leads to more extreme labels; oh well).
