Has anyone asked if there was an assassination attempt on Castro?
Strange abdominal surgery, brother is silent, Booshe mis-Administration having a grand old time dividing up Cuba.

Any takers?

2. I smell a rat here
sorry, I really smell a rat here. Maybe not our government involved, but a lot of ex-patriots would love to see him gone. Then the Repukes get their paradise back.

which is my educated guess, would do it for an information blockade and lack of photos.

It's either that or a partial colectomy with or without a colostomy.

Neither surgery is a walk in the park, especially for an 80 year old man.

His brother has always remained low profile, so there is nothing new there.

Castro's recovery is going to be slow and painful. Nobody bounces back at 80 the way they do at 20, and these are tough surgeries for younger folks.

I won't start getting suspicious for another 2 weeks. If there are no photos by then, something else is wrong.
