Can the Democrats filibuster the minimum wage bill?
The Democrats should try to get the House version of the minimum wage bill to the floor, where they can filibuster and make the news. A filibuster would raise two images: a power-hungry Senate that wants to nuke a 200 year old rule and a lousy minimum wage bill that also gives a $500 billion tax break for people with estates worth more than $100 million. (Actually, I'm not sure what the numbers are, but I think it's $750 billion for people worth $2 million or more.)
