OK, so the seaside attacks on Beirut threatening the eco-structure of the entire eastern half of the Meditereanian Sea just happened.
Details. Jacques Cousteau will fix that.
But, did you know that using 5000 lb (2.5 tons of enhanced high explosives) will ignite all that polluting material and (hopefully) destroy it? In essence, these huge bombs will CLEAN up the deadly, poisonous spills by vaporizing them. THink of it as a pro-fish, pro-reef, pro-life, pro-people bomb.
So you see, Israel's use of US bunker busters in a civilized, heavily populated and peaceful city like Beirut is nothing more than an effort to improve the environment.
