Murtha being sued
"Congressman Jack Murtha (D-PA) has responded a defamation suit from a US Marine by saying he doesn't blame the man "for lashing out," RAW STORY has learned.

Staff sergeant Frank D. Wuterich brought suit against Murtha earlier today, charging that the Congressman's public statements that Marines had "killed innocent civilians in cold blood" defamed the Marine."

3. I don't see how a suit
like this can fly, of course it's probably being financed by Rove & Co.

8. the point is to get it into the news
they can distort the details all they want on tv.. what happens in court is irrelevant to these goons

17. remember the swift boat
we said the same thing.

only difference is, I think Murtha is a considerably more treacherous animal for that poor persecuted moneygrubbing loon to take on.

5. I was defamed when a war hero told the truth?
In a perverse way I hope the swift boat bastards are tuning up their engines. Colonel Murtha will kick their asses and when others see his successes a whole buncha dems will have his back.

7. you should ask
the anti-free speech folks in this website who thought a person referring to a developmentally disabled neighbor as a "retard" was a criminal act, a hate crime, etc.

free speech means people can be mean

libel/slander is a different issue of course

if johnny claims you have a history of raping nuns (and you don't) - that's libel/slander

if johnny claims you are an idiot, a retard, and a bad person. that's free speech

note the distinction.

9. Another thread just started...the Pentagon agrees with Murtha
I really want to see the Swiftboaters go to court with this one. Murtha will stuff them into a sausage grinder, metaphorically speaking.

10. When Kerry chose to NOT go after the
Swift-boat Liars and to stop them in the beginning....he ultimately gave them the power to grow more aggressively hateful today.......

15. You're right, liberalnurse...

...the Swift-boat Liars will keep at it until a real fighter, like Murtha, or Jim Webb slap them silly, and render them powerless. Then they'll go crawl back under their rocks.

And the sooner the better.

19. Sherrod Brown of the Ohio Senate Race is READY!
We already have knowledge of Sen. DeWine's scheme to use the full force of the "Swift Boat Liars".

We already know their MO........

They like to put out scathing false media blips on a Friday all knowing that the media will not take TV/radio ads until Monday...thus the rebuttal is postponed and the bell has been rung...

20. Ultimately, John Kerry makes the calls.....
I realize the feedback he got was poor....but let us not forget that John Kerry had his day with O'Neil in the late 60's or early 70's...He knew O'Neil wanted blood revenge.....he underestimated the festering hate one harbors when nationally humiliated.

Now the siege is upon all successful Democrats.

Swiftboats, foully through the stream.

Pukingly, pukingly, pukingly puklingly.

Wish it was a dream.

Or a nightmare.

14. Yeah it's not the illegal war, the poor planning, the shortage
of equipment, and troops, the apathetic leaders, or the Marines who decided that raping and killing a little girl would be good for Americas image. It's Murtha's fault.
