Differences between Israel and Hezbollah
Israel is a sovereign country.

Hezbollah is an organization within a sovereign country (Lebanon), largely supported by other countries (Iran, Syria).

If the above is true, how does/should it affect discussions of "Israel vs. Hezbollah," or not?

For example, do the two have equal "rights?" If so, is there a limit there? Do they have the same rights to military forces? If so, what are the implications for rights of militias in other countries, including our own? Which goes to, what are the rights of government? And, what are the rights of "people" vs. "citizens?" And, what's the role of government?

3. What's the difference between "Hezbollah" and "Lebanon?"
In terms of their military, their governance, their territory, etc., is there a difference?

In terms of the entity/entities that attacked Israel, is there a difference?

In terms of who Israel attacked, is there a difference?

you do realize that hezbollah has a substantial presence in the Lebanese Government. How does that equal the KKK?

8. I didn't mention the KKK....
But what's Hezbollah's "substantial presence in the Lebanese Government," exactly?

9. Well
Countries have formed and reformed throughout history. And their governments along with them.

Hezbollah is a force within Lebanon. They have a political end along with their military side.

It's not the place of the outside world to decide who is or isn't legitimate inside another country. That's Lebanon's decision. And it could be argued that they were happy enough to allow Hezbollah as far into their government as they have, both politically and militarily.

Also, if you look at how the US interfered into the governments of Afghanistan and Iraq, you'll see that they really have no clue what they are doing. Who's to say Israel knows any more about Lebanon and what truly will or won't work for them.
