Soldiers to sign flags honoring Flight 93 victims

By KIRK SWAUGER
The Tribune-Democrat

SOMERSET — Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan are getting a chance to share the sentiments on where the war on terror began.

Flight 93 flags have been sent overseas for soldiers to sign and express their feelings about the 40 heroic passengers and crew who fought back against hijackers on Sept. 11, 2001.

1. Two, possibly three emoticons could be used for this piece.

6. I don't know that it is a punishable crime, but signing it is forbidden
under the flag code.

(g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.

9. Bush did it, so it must be okay!
:sarcasm:

No, he really did "deface the flag" - of course, the shit sandwich eaters would claim that he "made it more valuable" ...

10. Bushler is turning our boys and girls into war criminals... or at least
trying to. I feel sick thinking about what may happen to my cousin, who could at any moment be called back for yet another tour in Iraq or elsewhere.

11. Iraq & Afghanistan have nothing to do with 9/11. Some argument
might have been made about Afghanistan but since they never got Osama the whole thing is moot.

15. Yeah, "truth". What actually happened on 9/11 as opposed to
this administration's un-investigated "theory" as to what happened.

18. More and more people are beginning to question the scenario
floated by this administration regarding the events of 9/11. I am not advocating for any "theory" yet, because there just has not been any investigation into those events worth the name. But one thing is sure, the theory that the Bush administration has foisted does not hold water - and that is becoming more and more clear, daily. Check out this site -

14. It's coming up on the anniversary. I figure every year, from now
until the fall of the Bush Reich, we will be inundated with 9/11 stupidity - that is much more of an insult to any memory of the event than any sort of "honor".... :eyes:
