Y'know what's truly scary?

Look at the furking mess GWB has made over the past 5 1/2 years. Look at the death, the destruction, the obliteration of decades of diplomacy, the trashing of America's image around the world, the dismantling of social programs in place since the Great Depression, the power grab of the executive branch, the dead and displaced of NOLA, the continued sacking of America by corporate interests, neglect of the environment at the most critical time in human history, the shredding of Consitutional rights, lying, spying, dying, crying ...

...and he's not done yet.

And you know what? You want some real nightmares? Do you really want to imagine what this petulent, spoiled, vindictive crazoid will have in store for the world should the Republicans retain power in Congress after this fall's elections? There will be nothing to stop him. NOTHING. He'll be a lame duck with nothing to lose, no mid-terms to worry about, and if the GOP thinks Herr Bush cares what happens to the party after his term is up they are SOOOOOOO deluded!

On the other hand, there are so many Democrats sounding more and more like Republicans these days, it may not make any difference.

Be afraid, people. Very afraid. As the saying goes, we ain't seen nothin' yet.

Sorry to say I don't think the Dems we have in Congress right now have the backbone to support an impeachment. It's hard to tell whether you're voting yea or nay when you're upside down grabbing your ankles and bleating, "Please, George, may I have some more?"

Conyers is one of the few I trust these days -- but it will take more than one courageous man.

2. Yes, we should be afraid according to

speakers at the 911 LA Conference I saw on C-Span last night. I believe it was William Tarpley that warned of another 911 attack on our country before the fall elections. He left me with the feeling that this cabal will stop at nothing to acheive their goals. :hide:

7. Here's what I know.....

The conference was hosted by Alex Jones. He had a physicist on, Tarply, Bowman (Lt. Col. running for a congressional seat in FL) and another man who I can't remember his name. This last man and Tarply I found most interesting because of their resolve to expose this administration's garbling of the 911 Commission's report and the EXTREME IMPORTANCE that this information be disseminated through out the U.S. SOON. They both were fearful of what the administration may and can do to keep us all in line. They brought up the shredding of the Bill of Rights and their global ambitions.

The physicist's main point was that the Twin Towers and Bldg. Seven were brought down with Thermate a sulfur enhanced Thermite which can cut through steel "like a knife through butter". He had a piece of the molten metal from the Towers which, by a fluke, had in his possession. He handled it with a plastic glove and said it is absolute proof of why the Towers fell like they did and why there were smoke plumes arising from the buildings because they were typical of the type that comes from Thermate and not what should have been there from the other damage. The "fluke" was that a woman visiting the Towers site tried to clean up a beam that was part of a temporary shrine. In the dirt impacted on the beam she found this piece of molten metal and she kept it. When she heard that questions were rising about the "demolition" of the Towers she turned it over to the scientist.

They (collectively) brought up Norad exercises and Air Force exercises occurring on Sept. 11, 2001 that confounded the issue that the U.S. didn't respond with fighter jets on the hijacked planes. They also brought up that the cell phone calls we've all been made aware of could not have happened and they gave the expert's advice they acquired that the phones could not work at the altitude the planes were flying. They also completely tore apart the idea that the hijackers were in any way capable of flying the planes. This disbelief was based on the little training they had had.

You might want to check the C-Span website to see if the program will run again in the future. It was re-aired on Sunday too. It ran under "American Perspectives". Maybe there's a transcript?
