On Monday, Lamont will appear on "The Colbert Report" on the Comedy Central cable network, a mildly risky move, given that few politicians walk away unscathed from an interview by the faux newsman, Steven Colbert.

Pop culture and new media, however, are an integral part of Lamont's campaign. On Saturday, his audience included two prominent bloggers, Jane Hamsher and Matt Stoller, whose Internet articles have helped create a national online community of support.

honest to goodness interview? :eyes: Many, very many. Along with more than a few Democrats I'll wager. It should be a good one. Colbert will do his thing but I hope he doesn't do more harm than good with his stylized "reporting".
