Rice to return to Washington on Monday

By Sue Pleming
JERUSALEM (Reuters) -

Lebanon's Prime Minister Fouad Siniora said he did not want her to come to his country, saying that after the air strike, he could not hold any talks on resolving the crisis before an immediate ceasefire.

"In the wake of the tragedy that the people and the government of Lebanon are dealing with today, I have decided to postpone my discussions in Beirut. In any case, my work is here (in Israel) today," Rice told reporters of the canceled Beirut trip.

Rice insisted she had canceled the Lebanon trip and not the other way around.

She said she was "deeply saddened" by the Israeli bombing of the village of Qana in southern Lebanon, but did not call for an immediate ceasefire.

Israeli Air Raid Kills Scores in Lebanon

An Israeli air raid Sunday leveled a building housing civilians in the Lebanese village of Qana, killing at least 65 people, police said.

1. May she and the evil Bush empire...
burn in the firy depths of hell.

May snakes and maggots come to dispose of their corpses.

May they endure all forms of excruitiating pain.

May they all rot and melt apart.

No words can describe my hatred for these fascist killers: Bush, Cheney, Rummy, Wolfie, Condi...the lot of them...and the jingoistic media, propaganda machine to go along with them.

3. What, Karen Hughes as PR Tsar, didn't help Rice?
Remember, there is/was NOTHING WRONG WITH OUR POLICIES... only that we don't combat negative PR aggressively enough. Or so we were told by Ms. Hughes as she took on yet another tax payer subsidized job to try to fool people into believing something that they never believed to begin with.

4. She can run but she cannot hide from this:

A man looks at the bodies of Lebanese victims, recovered from the rubble of a demolished building that was struck by Israeli war plane missiles at the village of Qana, after being prepared to be sent to the morgue at the Tyre Government Hospital in the southern Lebanon city of Tyre, Sunday, July 30, 2006. Dozens of civilians, including at least 20 children, were killed Sunday in an Israeli airstrike that flattened houses in this southern Lebanon village _ the deadliest attack in 19 days of fighting.

Miss My Husband is a failure.

5. I'm right there with ya'll
I'm pissed. I'm fucking angry! But rather than project that anger onto this board, I'm going to get out and do something for the community today. That's my only channel through which I can feel like life is worth living. I live here in D.C., damnit. Every time I walk home, past the Capitol, past the White House, I am reminded of how much damage these fascist nazi fucks has done to our great democracy. We are hated all over the world, and with each passing day, I grow more disillusioned and angry over what's going on here. It's hard to escape living in this area. Everyone's talking, and believe me, everyone here wants to take action to combat this 'police state'. So I decided to act today. Maybe if I can channel my frustration elsewhere and actually do good, I would have contributed something to society. Sitting around seething with anger won't do me any good...

Thanks for listening.

11. Thank you, soldier. You are right and I wish I could go out today and
make a difference too. Some like me are not well and too poor to make a difference.

It is a very sad today seeing the state of our country and the world. Perhaps it is too painful seeing myself in these dead and injured people who had no means and nowhere to run. Become disabled in America and you will see there is no help here. Now these Fristian neocons have spread that around the world.

6. I Have a Horrible Feeling
Edited on Sun Jul-30-06 10:21 AM by The Deacon
Thawing relations with the European Union scuttled because of Rice's bullying them into a statement used by Israel to justify continuing the bombing.
Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, at considerable risk to themselves, denounce Hezbollah for provoking Israel - and then Condi & Junior hang them out to dry by announcing "unwavering support" for Israel.
Iraq and Afghanistan continue their descent into chaos.
Now, we're not even welcome in Lebanon.
I afraid, very afraid, that we will be as isolated as Cambodia under Pol Pot long before 2008.

7. She hitched her wagon to the wrong 'star', didn't she.
A complete and utter failure is she, and hopefully she will reap what she has sown, for the rest of her life.

13. But wouldn't that require the Princess of Death to have a conscience?
She helped to bring about the carnage and misery in Iraq. I don't think that any of this death and misery bothers her in the least.

15. Good point. And let us not forget her involvement in lying about
9/11. You're right, without a conscience, none of her actions probably merit a second thought.:grr:

10. Over 40% children among the dead in Qana ...
... and absolutely no evidence of Hizb'allah weaponry destroyed as yet reported. Despite all the claims of 'extraordinary care in not targeting civilians' and 'targeting Hizb'allah launch sites,' we have yet to have any reports whatsoever of destroyed launchers, rockets, or any other weaponry.

You don't have to be an expert at "Where's Waldo?" to sense that there's something missing from the picture.
