It sucks. A family get together, and my sister's friend's husband is from England. So I'm the only liberal, and I'm thinking, wow, someone who might not be a redneck, and this joker launches into a spiel about how he's met Bill Cosby twice and agrees with everything he's said about African American culture, and then goes on later and tells that joke about how he'd rather 'go hunting with Dick Cheney than driving with a Kennedy."

I just can't believe my rotten luck. I was hoping for an enlightened european to mix things up around here and instead I got a redneck with a high-falootin accent.

I'm so bummed. I'm looking at another move, which I can't afford, just because right now I am up to my eyeballs in right wing bullshit and I am fed up. I was hoping we might have a little spice in the mix but this guy is worse than my own family, certainly more vocal. I about fell out of my chair when he told the Cheney joke. It sucks.
