2. That seemed amateurish.
Violin sounded pretty good, though.

5. The proud little girl at a recital.
Especially in her little introduction, hands folded. Really this might be charming behavior in a six-year-old. She seems to be regressing -- looking for approval wherever she can get it. Certainly not in the world of adults, where the carnage is on-going.

10. I am a guitar player.
Gut-bucket slide.

And I can play piano better than that just from years of fooling around with one at home.

She was just playing the accompanist's part.

I'll bet we won't be seeing any full clips of that one.

Wow I always took that one for granted. Well I should have known better.

Amazing. They even lie about THAT.

18. That's the one thing I believed, as well.
Maybe she started out great and just fizzled as she grew older.

Poor-Quality recording aside, that was just clunky as hell.

19. Actually

her work while at Stanford was ridiculed by her colleagues as being incomplete and amateurish-this of course was dismissed as "liberal bias".

Want to know what her great qualification really is/was?

Her father opposed the Equal Rights movement, opposed Dr.King, and found a great home in the Republican party.

As we know the only requirement to get approved by the Senate is to have a "great life story" Condi and Alberto both have that--you have to give them some credit but mostly it is just a story.

Didn't fall far from the tree, did she?

20. Eight measures? Please.
That one minute clip included about 15 seconds of intro and no more than 7 or 8 uninterrupted seconds, all with horrible sound quality.

14. I'm self-taught and finally started lessons a couple years ago.
I play infinitely better, including the Brahms. Maybe there's a place for me in the Pretzel's administration!

17. I play like Franz Liszt compared to her.. I mean, IT.
And that's after only four semesters of piano labs required of all music majors.

21. Her accomplishments as a musician are limited to an earlier age...
Criticizing her based on that crappy, crappy video is ridiculous.

Would you rather that Rice spend a few dozen hours preparing for this meaningless performance? I wouldn't.

I really, really don't like Condi Rice, but this mindless bashing her over a trivial issue is pure silliness.
