Snitchens having buyer's remorse
The drunk was all for letting Smirk be a dictator wrt free speech zones, Gitmo, torture, and killing Iraqi civilians. Now he's worried about his ME sources, and having a dictator isn't so great

2. Maybe he's afraid someone monitored some less than discreet
booze induced conversations with bar room acquaintences. Hitched your wagon to the wrong drunk this time didn't you Hitchings? That's a shame.

3. Because he's not selling any books. He's just readjusting
After 9/11 the gin-soaked popinjay Hitchens thought that by turning into a rabid right-wing brainfuck would sell his books... Wrong!

He's just readjusting his "beliefs" to see if he can sell books again, like when he was a radical left-wing nut obsessed with Kissinger and Mother Theresa.

Either that, or he's very concerned the NSA has been spying on something hidden in his gin-soaked private life.

:puke:

5. Or he's keeping his hand in the suit so that he can keep the defendents...
apprised of the details and perhaps throw a monkey wrench into the gears at an appropriate time.

7. Another possible motive:
Maybe Hitchens doesn't think that the NSA should be spying without warrents.

Say what you like about Hitchens, but he is smart enough not to fall into the mistake of allowing any ideology form his opinion on any individual topic.

9. Bullshit
Hitchens has become a JOKE. A useless, gin-soaked, not funny JOKE.

8. Wasn't it less than a few months ago
That he was having debates with Galloway? And he always took the pro-Shrub position.
