Is Lebanon biggest wave of shills on DU since the Jeff Gannon story?

I like a good disagreement and debate, but everyone once in a while, an issue comes up where we are overwhelmed with posts that don't fit the general tenor of our debate like when the Jeff Gannon the male prostitute posing as a White House reporter was still in play. Suddenly there were all kinds of gays indignant that we were mentioning that he was gay even though he advertised for his services on the web, and the point being made by most was the hypocrisy of simultaneously using the services of a male prostitute and getting political mileage from gay-bashing.

Likewise, there is a case to be made for Israel's actions, but when someone won't admit that the lives of innocents are worth the same on both sides, particularly given that it wasn't the Lebanese government, or Beirut airport, or UN compound, that attacked Israel, then I start to wonder if someone is either being dishonest with themselves or paid to be dishonest with us.

It is not appropriate to paint those who disagree with you as being outside shills. I think it is fairly obvious that all the different viewpoints here are from legitimate DU members.
