A horses head, a swimming pool, and the fetid stench of fascism.
For those who don't know, a Democratic County Commissioner in Wawayanda New York had a horses head put in her pool. She is the only Democrat serving on the town commission and has had previous incidents. An intial report is here --> http://www.recordonline.com/archive/2006/07/26/news-omhorsehead-07-26.html

My take on the issue is here --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com/2006/07/town-of-wawayanda-new-york.html

1. Winning through intimidation
And some wonder why DEMS in high places roll over, play dead...

Wouldn't surprise me to hear some DEMS have been threatened with 'terraist attacks' somewhere in their home districts. Would not put ANYTHING past Cheney and his masters.

WWIII is going on. The corporations against the people of the world. Cheney is Darth.

3. Intimidation is no big deal?
Ruining a person's pool is no big deal?

You have an interesting value system.

I did check to see if anybody else had posted it - but didn't see any.

6. If it proves to be a joke, that's good
We'll have to wait and see.

But the question is, in the absense of evidence, should we assume it's a joke?

Even if it's a joke, it's still pretty meanspirited and nasty.

9. A joke???? Are you kidding?? I suppose Israel bombing is a joke
as well. When you take a life it is not a joke period. Anyone that thinks killing an innocent animal is a joke is truly sick...

11. I said it could be a joke. Also you do not know that the person

who put it there actually killed the horse.

7. Dead fish on steps...
does not quite reach the level of severed horse head in pool. If this is something you consider a joke, all I can say is that I am glad we are not neighbors.

13. I understand that...
my point is that you seem to be taking it too lightly. It does not sound like a funny joke, on any level, and while I am sure you are a good person, I would not want a neighbor that might suggest such activity could possibly be interpreted as a joke.

16. Ha, ha, killing a horse...
...and dropping its head in someone's swimming pool. Ha ha ha...

Sorry. That's just fucking sick. Both dropping a horse head in someone's pool, and thinking of it like a joke. Just my opinion.

5. Poor horse...
I'm furious over this. A beautiful horse, murdered by f*cking facists in order to intimidate a fellow American. These scum will stop at nothing. They desecrate the land, senselessly murder animals, and drop bombs on babies, yet they are supposed to be "Pro-Life". This is what we're up against.

8. Just to settle your mind, Investigators have determined
the horse was already dead.

And yes. Democrats in congress have been threatened with their lives.

Someone sent Tom Dashel military grade anthrax. Ever wonder how that investigation went?

They didn't just attempt to kill a democrat senator, they also hold hostage congressional staff, vendors, contractors and family members with the same threat.

So how is that investigation going? Did you see the remarkable way Nancy Pelosi fell in line?

Take it from someone who counsels families traumatized by violent family members. Our congress and senate are terrified. They have been threatened by a GOP that makes good on it's threats. I can see the fear in their eyes, It's palpable.

14. These Republicans must be made to understand
this is strictly business, therefore, I must take out a contract on the entire City Council for they fail to show respect. Now if there's nothing else I'd like to get back to my favorite show, American Idol. This Hollywood big shot, Simon, is going to give the award to Johnny Fontain this week. ...
