Oh Snap! Brownie to Playboy: Rep. Gene Taylor a twerp...
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/07/26/AR2006072602090.html

Michael Brown Reveals All in a Playboy Interview

Brownie, you give a heckuva interview! Former FEMA chief Michael Brown unloads about his post-Katrina downfall in the August issue of Playboy -- calling himself a "scapegoat," warning that the nation is even "less-prepared" for this year's hurricane season, and sharing some PG-13 opinions of former colleagues.

· On Rep. Gene Taylor (D-Miss.), accusing him in a hearing of not comprehending the devastation: "For that little twerp to claim I didn't understand death and suffering -- he can just bite me, for all I care."

Taylor should issue this press release: Dear Brownie, I'm rubber and you're glue, what you say bounces off me and sticks to you!

· On President Bush saying the levee breaches were unexpected: "He doesn't have an incredible command of the English language."

Chimpy's reply: "Now just hold on"...

12. He coulda, woulda, shoulda but didn't
He is a fraud, a Peter, a Fake....he shoulda have never got the position. And we saw why.

Did he ever get an update when he came aboard on what the hell to do if bad shit hit us...? A crash course to learn the ropes? I don't think so

Did he learn along the way on his own? I don't think so.

He thinks and acts on a very low level....no big picture for him...level 1 guy on a level 2 position.

Myopic and DUMB.

Just like his President.

5. Gene Taylor is my representative
And the little twerp would whip brownie's ass if he ever swings by the district again. One of my favorite Gene Taylor quotes coming from Katrina:

"They should establish a national registry of insurance executives, like the one for sex offenders so a resident will know if an insurance executive is living next door to them."

Gene Taylor is not the ideal democrat but he'll do fine and dandy thankyou for coming from South Mississippi.

And fuck you brownie, you did not do a heckuva job and you really did not give a fuck about pain, suffering and death on the coast last year. You are a typical republican.

6. I love Gene Taylor...
he makes some great speeches on the floor. Really skewers the yellow elephant bastards.

I'd love to see him flatten old Brownie, both verbally and physically. I know he could in a heartbeat.

:kick:

7. Whine, whine, whine
Gene Taylor is one of the only Representatives who really fought for Katrina victims. Brown is still sulking cause Taylor made him look like an idiot during the Congressional hearing on FEMA.

8. And Taylor still is working for victims
while brown whines. Even a blind person would be able to see the man amongst these two.

9. Yes.
After Katrina, I was so impressed by Taylor's speech that I went to his website. It was full of information on who to contact, how to find housing, where to buy emergency supplies, where power had been restored, etc. It also said where Taylor was having a meeting that day - he was going to every single town in his district, power or no, to see what people needed. He was trying to be a one-man relief organization. I just went back to his site & it still has a running tally of families who haven't received FEMA housing yet. (Days since Hurricane Katrina - 331, Families still waiting for housing - 3255, Housing Sitting Empty - 3116, Empty Travel Trailers - 2660). He cares.

10. Right after the Hurricane
He was driving a boat around the area looking for people to rescue and later was driving a bulldozer clearing away fallen trees. His votes sometimes confound me, but all I have to do is remember the lunatic republicans the conservatives ran against him in the last two races. For South Mississippi he is a flaming liberal. Oh and he also has that nice Democratic touch - he's a veteran.

11. That is a prime example of the stark difference...
between leaders who actually care about their jobs and the constituents who put them there, and the praetorians and demagogues that are currently running things.

13. Brown sure is tough in an empty room
Brown: "Boy, I shoulda-woulda-coulda smacked that guy. I just didn't at the time because I got this trick knee, see. And it was acting up that day, lucky for Gene Taylor. But boy, if I ever see that guy again, he'd just better watch out, because I'll give him the old what-for."

Taylor: "If Brown ever hits me, and I find out about it, he'll think that congressional grilling was a walk in the park."
