Why are some people so evil?
My neighbor just left. She was in shock and she was crying. I'm not used to dealing with people that upset and I'm shaky myself now. Apparently, her ex-husband killed her puppy: he ran him over, twice. And all because he's mad she's starting a new life while his is going to hell. Of course, I heard only her story, but I told her to call the police ASAP and to feel free to stop by anytime if she has trouble.

Why are some people so evil? Or are they just insane?

1. Fear is a powerful thing.
It leads to some pretty nasty things.

4. Fuck that! You have just admitted you have knowledge of the
incident. You should turn his crazy ass into authorities, before he kills her.

10. I agree on two counts. Crime committed against the puppy and
you'll never forgive yourself should he decide to do the same to her.

Your call to the police can be kept confidential if you request it.

13. I suggested that...
She came here because she was scared while waiting for her brother to arrive. She said she might sleep at her brother's place for the night. Difficult to know what to do; I did offer to call the police but she wanted to talk to her brother first.

17. You have knowledge of a crime, albeit not serious in appearance,
but never-the-less a crime, which could very well lead to something more serious. You have an obligation, no matter what the woman has asked you to do, to call. You already allowed yourself to become involved by allowing her into your home. OK I'm done.

why people do that - sometimes because they were victims themselves. Other times, I don't know.

6. They are alienated. Disconnected from Creation.
"Others" are not I. I am not he/she/they. The puppy/animal world is just a collection of various types of cells.

16. If it was a dachshhound, I'm willing to hear the guy's side of the story.
I have two. :-|

Honestly, that is horrible. If it really did go down like that, then that fellow should be prosecuted for animal cruelty.

18. I used to have one of those.
Her name was Hotsy Dog. When my son was three, he was running with her on the leash in one hand and a toy in the other hand. The Hotsy tangled him up and tripped him. He fell on his toy and cut his lip. Gave me a freak'n attack of some kind. I went running to him and picked him up with blood pouring out of his lip which I could not tell in the dark whether it was due to missing teeth or what. Ran to the house with him and saw his teeth were still there, but he had a bump on his lip for the longest time. He finally outgrew the bump, but Hotsy Dog grew up with him. She was a terra dog. We had to give her up to a hotdog lady when we moved into a place that didn't allow pets. We visited for a couple of times. She had good home. Sad giving her up.

14. I don't know but your neighbor needs to find a safe place to stay
as this is the type of personality who can end up loading up the cylinders and getting rid of the object that is the focus of their failures.

19. Mental illness.
Be careful around that guy, I PROMISE you he would run you over just as fast as he did that puppy. It won't be because he is evil, it will be because he suffers from mental psychosis and is very very dangerous.

21. The police came and left
And I saw her leave with her brother too. Difficult situation because she works around here too, and I assume her ex knows where she works too. She probably needs to get a restraint order but I have no idea how that works and how effective it is.

22. Watch out for that guy, anyone who disregards the inherent cuteness
of a puppy for death will not think twice about doing it to a human. I hope the police arrest him and the jury gives him the maximum sentence or therapy.

25. Maybe call up a friend on the phone or just get out of the house.
I hope you can get some sleep, maybe find something to take your mind off it. Go check out the 911 forum and learn something new and far more scarier then your next door neighbor.

20. You asked. Do you really care?
The Devil Himself

Yet how does a man who kills his cohorts, traps business partners in fatal deals, and murders strangers merely to experiment manage to have a real family life? How is it possible to have no feelings in one area and such strong ones in another?

Kuklinski himself has offered an explanation. He grew up hating his father for the inexplicable abuse and humiliation he suffered at the man's hands. To endure being beaten, he distanced himself and thought about other things. He points to his violent brother as proof that such an upbringing warps children.

What he says about his emotional distancing is consistent with the stories told by people who develop dissociative identity disorder, in which they have more than a single personality existing in the same body. Each personality type can manage some specific life arena and the dissociation typically occurs under stress, as it did during the childhood abuse. While Kuklinski does not exhibit multiple personalities, his wife did see him as a man with two distinct sides: the Good Richard and the Bad Richard. These were defined by his moods and behavior. If he were in a good mood, he could be loving, generous and protective. However, the black mood meant such things as beating her up, threatening her, chasing her in a car, and even beating up on himself when he couldn't get to her. There was no way to predict when the Bad Richard would emerge, and no way to know what he might do.

24. More..
What kind of a childhood did Kuklinski have?
He was severely abused by both his mother and father—constantly beaten for both real and imagined infractions. His father had a habit of wrapping his garrison belt around his fist, striking Richard in the head and knocking him out. When Richard was five his father murdered his seven-year-old brother. By the time Richard was ten years old he was filled with anger and well on his way to no good. He committed his first murder when he was 14 years old. Initially he felt bad about it but he never stopped killing.

If that guy realizes you are helping her you had better stay out of the street when he's around, or they're going to be scraping you up with a spatula!
