(PIC) Protestor got into the al-Maliki speech to Congress

8. Has Code Pink claimed her?
Edited on Wed Jul-26-06 11:23 AM by tridim
Call me crazy, but how did a protester wearing a PINK skirt (assuming she had her pink shirt covered) get past the secret service and into the chamber gallery? Look at the people behind her, it's all dark suits and pants-suits. She sticks out like a sore thumb. Something's just not adding up here.

Edit: Just read that it's Medea Benjamin. The question still remains, why did the SS let her in?

You would think security people "in the know" would be aware of high profile rabble rousers that are known for this.

I am glad she gets in. :P

12. She's also about 100 lbs soaking wet so I can see where
it would be possible to avoid the radar.

I love that woman.

15. That girls certainly got gumption!

I you've not met her, she's tiny. About 5' sumthin. But there's a whole lotta spirit in that ittle bitty frame. Her husband, Kevin Danaher, is tall and towers over her. They are an amazing couple.

Medea ran for State Senate in CA a few years ago on the Green Party ticket. Had Jim Hightower helping her. Would have rocked if we had gotten her elected.
