Harry Reid will announce his Alito vote tomorrow at 11am EST
They were caucusing yesterday to see if they had 41 for a filibuster. No word on the result yet.

Stay tuned.

1. Don't expect him to announce a fillabuster or not, though.

We at least have to go through a full Senate debate, otherwise it would look like we're "not giving Alito a chance".

4. Thanks for the heads up
Any word on who was involved in the caucus? I am prepping to make calls and it would be helpful to have specific targets.

7. I just called his office and was on hold waiting for nearly 10 minutes.
The very nice young man listened very politely, did not interrupt, allowed me to finish, and said he appreciated my call and that there was an unbelievable number of people calling and on hold.

So please call. Because I am from OHIO, and we have no Dem. Senators, I asked for Reid's office and
I heard an AUDIBLE sign from the Capitol phone operator.

The phone calls must be rock'n and roll'n Capitol Hill today.

Toll free 877. 851.6437 Ask for your DEM Senator or Harry Reid's office.

Please call.

11. Thanks for the phone number, Ninga. I just called and left
a message. I'm no good at this; I live in TX and am so frustrated my voice cracked, but I did get
my point across. Told them since I have no representation in my state, I had to voice
my opinion to Mr. Reid.
Every little bit...

6. Well, if he's announcing his announcement......
makes me think they're gonna fight Alito. At least that's what I hope. Why make a production out of a "yea" vote? ;)

8. He better vote NO.
I certainly would welcome a filibuster, whether they have the votes or not, but I cannot forgive a YES vote from a Democrat or a pro-choice Republican.
