I, for one, love listening to RW radio sometimes
First of all, it's always good for a laugh. Secondly, it helps keep me up to speed on the gopher talking points. Third, it's a constant reminder of just how ignorant and hypocritical these idiots are!

Even then, however, I can usually only listen for several minutes at a time. Unless it's Porky Pig (Hannity) doing one of his "shoot-outs" - it's almost as if someone pushes a button on a tape recorder, the talking points start flying, and he merely succeeds in making himself look like the first-class fool that he is. I have yet to see him get the upper-hand against anyone in a debate.

1. I used to be able to
There is a certain entertainment value.

But since 2000 it is more like nails on a chalkboard. So I don;t even bother with them.

2. I hate it always.
I just can't stomarch it, even for a few minutes. I still remember when it was the only choice in talk radio. :puke:

3. I will admit to a certain degree of masochism
Sometimes, especially when I'm stuck in traffic, I actually like to make myself upset. I'm sure other drivers have seen me on I-4 yelling at nobody in particular, assuming I'm yelling at the traffic :puke:

6. I'm convinced Hannity has a button he pushes when he wants to take a break
He has a few diatribes that he spouts all the time, and they're almost always identical, word for word. It's almost as if he has these tirades programmed on his board, and he simply pushes a button when he needs to take a piss or something.

5. I like it, too
Just to remind myself of the shallowness of their arguments.

And their "big news" stories, which are almost ALWAYS based on an obvious lie of some kind. I mean, it's not even subtle, something you can easily Google.

And once they've been called out on their lie, they never mention it again.

It's fascinating.

7. I can only listen to it in very short bursts...
They have their talking points down so well. Sometimes I'll hear like 5-6 lies / distortions / 'frames' in a single minute. I turn off the radio and I'm good for another 30 minutes while I'm dissecting the lies in my head.

8. Former Rush fan? What finally brought you over to the 'dark' side?
And isn't it fun debating these idiots in the comfort of your car or office? God knows if you were to actually call in to their show, you woudln't be able to get a word in edgewise.

10. If you can look past the lies, the bullshit, and his overall disgusting na
Rush can be funny, genuinely funny sometimes.

Some of his bits are based in a funny concept, but are just so skewed and hateful and riddled with lies that the finished product loses all of its potential for humor.

11. Glenn Beck started me and the lack of WMD's finished me...
It was like crawling out of the cave, but once I figured out it was all a big lie, it all made sense to me.
