Condi what a diplomat
Edited on Mon Jul-24-06 06:29 PM by Botany
Condi to Hezbollah, O.K. stop what you are doing, disarm, and
then do everything that Israel wants you to do and then maybe we
can talk cease fire. Talk about a non starter. :banghead:

“We all agreed that it is urgent,” Ms. Rice said of a halt in the fighting, “but the framework is
clearly to do this in a way that will help the Lebanese government exercise sovereignty over
all of its territory.”

Just like Iran; "O.K. do everything we tell you to then we will have negotiations with
you." bush admin April of 06

Just like N. Korea; "Well just because it worked for Bill Clinton and no nuclear weapons
were produced doesn't mean we will keep talking to N. Korea." bush admin 2001

The first goal of any diplomat is to stop killing and the second should be to have
the adversaries to start to talk with each other. With Condi showing up and basically parroted
the Israeli position to the Arabs we loose any chance for being seen as an honest broker
for peace (Iraq does not help either). This is what we get for having a President that
had not been been outside of the United State more then 3 times when he took office.
(Dick Cheney had had more heart attacks then bush had been overseas)

Where are the grown ups?

7. Agree totally that the first objective is to stop killing
That photo of her leaning over the table shaking hands with the Lebanon PM was so phony looking.
