Trent Lott's Day In The Sun
Later today, as the azzwipe Trent Lott announces his departure from the Senate (will not make a 4th term run) it may please you to keep this in the back of your mind. It was the White House that ushered him out of his Leadership position in favor of their boy Bill Frist. As you will recall back at Strom's birthday party Senator Lott let us know that the Nixon Strategy was still humming right along with what polite society called a racially insensitive remark. The rest of us called it bigotry, plain and ugly.

Now with the prospect of a Democratic and Democrat controlled Senate the White House seems to have second thoughts as to the suitability of Senator Lott for service. The rest of us, of course, do not.

So imagine the delight Trent must be enjoying today. The very same White House that ushered him out now, this very day, must be begging him to stay. George on his knees, a pleasing mental picture ....

2. 3 Press Conferences In One Day
To announce nothing has changed?

I don't think so.

3. The fact that such a racist scumbag can get elected AT ALL...
Let alone in a black majority state like Mississippi speaks volumes about voter disenfranchisement, Jim Crow, and district jerrymandering in the good ol' US of A.
