Saudis Ask Bush to Intervene in Mideast

WASHINGTON (AP) - Saudi Arabia asked President Bush on Sunday to
intervene in Israel's military campaign against Hezbollah in
Lebanon to stop the mounting deaths.

``We are requesting a cease-fire to allow for a cessation of
hostilities,'' Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal said
after an Oval Office meeting with Bush.

Saud said he gave the president a letter from Saudi King
Abdullah asking that Bush help seek an immediate cease-fire in the
Middle East conflict.

Saud, the Saudi Ambassador to the United States, Prince Turki
al-Faisal, and Prince Bandar bin Sultan, chief of the Saudi
National Security Council, met with Bush for more than an hour
Sunday.

1. There you go. We're losing the Arab states ...
If this continues, I fear that the weaker Lebanese Army will go and fight along side "their brothers" of Hezbollah.

If our goal was to marginalize this organization to a small number of political positions, we have been instead, their most prized recruiter.

Do any of the clueless a**holes in the * Administration ever bother to crack open a Introductory Sociology Textbook? :grr:

3. But all our whorish Cable News media says that "we're winning"
In fact chocolate rations have been increased for this entire week.

No! Dear Leader and our sell-out representatives are always talking to the camera what a grand plan we all are following to SPREAD DEMOCRACY.

Are you going to believe Our Dear Leaders pontifications on the M$M, or you're own stinking eyes from alternative / other Nation's news sources?!? :P

Buckle up Winston Smith, it's going to be a bumpy ride of jingoism and bluster ... and a whole lotta killing for our beloved War Profiteering Corporations. :puke:

9. I think they get it and don't give a damn. They are the lords of the
planet. PNAC acting on behalf of and for their baron backers. None of them give a damn.

10. If the Saudi kingdom feels like their continued reign is sufficiently
threatened, they may well, in turn, threaten the US/bush cabal to retaliate economically. One wonders if the letter delivered may well contain such a threat.

...and because the Saudi family asked George to bend over and spread them wide, he will gratefully comply with their request.

11. Oh, to be a fly on the wall...
I can't help but wonder if the Saudis were really asking bush* for a cease-fire, or if that sound bite is just meant to squelch a potential Shiite uprising within Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Royal family has for years walked a thin line between their cozy relationship with American oil barons and the people of their kingdom.

I wonder what is really going on between the House of Saud and bush*co. It is so difficult to see reality from the smoke & mirrors that bush*co uses to operate.
