Huh? Conservatives turning on Bush for "too soft" foreign policy
http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/editorial/15104774.htm

What is this-the new mantra or something?

These people are stark, raving mad. Insane...there is no other explanation.

I always disliked Newt Gingrich but I didn't used to think he qualified for a padded cell....

Nuts....pack of fruitcakes....

(I am starting to almost like George Will though)

1. The Neocons are disgusting piece of human debris.
If they want war, lets draft them or their draft age male relatives and tax their finances to pay for their adventures, it is time that the Neocons pull their weight!

2. Please go read my jounal, it's on my letter to ABC
it was about George Will, yes lately he's been making more moderate statements, that's because
he hears the thundering herd of hoofbeats of a democratic onslaught for November swiftly
approaching. He knows that the war was a fiasco and much of what has passed as normal under
Bushco, why didn't he objectively critique it, he would have had no problem doing that under Clinton.

3. They're worried about the fall out now
It was to their advantage to support Bush before but now they are looking at Bush leaving office, and all the fall out from his horrible policies, so now it's to their advantage to distance themselves from Bush.

If the claim Bush's failure was because he was "too soft", then they can maintain the illusion that his policy wasn't wrong, just not strong enough...not forceful enough. And have a handy excuse to part ways with him. Bush left them...they didn't leave Bush.

If they claim he isn't a true conservative, even though they supported him right up to the point there was no denying what a failure Bush policy has been, then they have a handy excuse to distance themselves from Bush. It wasn't conservative policies that were wrong is the excuse...because Bush isn't a true conservative.

Again, it was to their advantage to support him before now, and it's to their advantage to distance themselves now.

And among those who supported Bush for any reason, who are now trying to cover their asses, this crap will play and play well.

No one wants to be held responsible for their support of bad policy.Especially not those who profited from supporting Bush's policies. And I don't mean profit just in the money sense either...if you were afraid of losing your job if you didn't support Bush policy, then you're no better than any of the others. You still gained by supporting bad policy. And in your gain, many other people suffered.
