Hillary Clinton Totally Won Me And Others Back With Her Speech Yesterday
Edited on Tue Jan-17-06 08:05 PM by OPERATIONMINDCRIME
Though I don't always agree with her stances of the past, her performance yesterday was incredible. I think she used exactly the tone and words that she should've, and on an appropriate day. I think it is pretty evident from all the right-wing rage today as to how effective her speech actually was. I'm really proud of her for standing up that strongly and hope she starts coming out swinging like that more often. When she's on, she's REALLY on!

Though some may not be able to see past their bitterness towards her, I think her speech of yesterday was a clear positive for us and one more strong voice in the mix of the last 48 hours that has shown some very strong voices speaking out. I, for one, am definitely thinking more positively of her after that and no doubt many others feel the same way.

Here's to you Hillary, Gore, and the rest, KEEP IT UP AND SPEAK IT LOUDLY!

4. Here, here. Let's see some action. Not just words (some badly chosen)
The filibuster is the litmus test. You're either with us or against us.

11. Amen. I want to see action on this one. If shee can't filibuster,
then she needs to find a new job. New York feels strongly about choice.

6. I think her and Bill must have finally
slept in the same bed or something. That was the most fire I've ever seen out of her.

Plantation was probably a ready word in the arsenal to shame the republicans and expose them about the way they think they're Kings and Queens of congress. It has forced the media to cover it. But the real subliminal intent was to pull the black curtain back and show them mf's for what they are. Locked committees, bills not allowed to come to the floor, three hours to read 700 page bills, 4 AM votes so nobody is up to complain, straight party line votes as if they're bonded together at the ass with Krazy glue.

The decibels are ramping up....prepare for take off.

10. Hell Yeah! Know What I Wonder Though?
I know the dem leadership is waiting for the perfect time to ratchet up the attacks in order to gain footing in this campaign season. Do you think this is the dems screaming out to us "GAME ON"?

Time To Rock Dems! Keep It Up!

12. Well, I've never felt more confident
that something big is going on. Reid is up to something, and so is Conyers. I don't know if they have coordinated their plans yet but I have a feeling when sessions start up, there are going to be non stop batterings from every direction.

Hillary's remark didn't just pop out of her mouth. She's a cagey one and that was intentional. It's got the entire media talking about the meaning of plantation. Most of the public has no clue congress is being run like this. She has put the fuse on the dynamite and the republicans have no way to remove it because their record of treating the democrats like incovenient slaves is documented a thousand times over. Now it's finally got a face on it that people can relate to.

I have the funniest feeling Reid is quietly planning some major chess moves too. Weighing the Alito value, turning the senate into a pier six brawl, capitalizing on the NSA hearings that are going to be explosive, and positively on a daily basis, driving the Abramhoff wrecking ball right up their ass. He's quiet but not someone they will want to mess with anymore.

By February 15th or so, I predict the head puss bag and his boys are going to start to see the size of the avalanche that's about to change their future.

7. I'm sorry, Hillery wants a law against burning a worthless piece of cloth
as if it was some holy relic or something.
I have never burned a flag in my 55 years on this spaceship. I promise to burn one a day, the moment they (They being the people who make the laws and think they have moral superiority)Tell me that I can't.

8. Her voting record doesn't always match her rhetoric...
Nothing personal against her. It's a common problem with many politicians - left or right of the aisle.

I'll wait and see how she backs this up, then I'll forgive.

13. Because she said "plantation"???
Is that really all it takes to qualify as a liberal Democrat these days? Throw in one emotionally charged word per speech and you're in? This is just ridiculous. For the record, Hillary has been making speeches against this administration since before the last election. She's made several good speeches over the last few years, and several stinkers. As much as people rant about sound bite politics, it's ironic that so many don't go any further than that themselves.

14. You're easily won, then.
Gore's been doing this for years.

Clinton throws us a bone every once in awhile to stop total revolt.

16. She came out blazing
and for that she deserves kudos. She is my Senator, and yes I am disappointed by her performance on several Liberal issues, but when she actually does something good, then I have no problem saying BRAVO.

18. Good.
But she still won't win a general election.

Repeat after me: no red/purple states will be flipped.

Sorry to rain on the Hillary parade, here, but I'm just trying to point out a fact.

I'm glad she said what she said, but it doesn't change the fact that she won't win a general election. If she does "Whoopee," but I'm afraid not.
